NISSAN ANNOUNCE APRIL SALES IN EUROPE 06.05.2010 08:00:00 - Uudised
ROLLE, Switzerland (May 6, 2010) - Nissan in Europe has reported sales of 44,347 units in April, representing an increase of 17% year on year with a market share of 2.9%. TIV decreased by 5% versus April 2009. Although the TIV in France, UK and Spain are above last year and these markets were strong in April, Germany and Italy TIV were below last year's levels at 30% and 15% respectively.
Bernard Loire, Vice President Sales Operations for Nissan in Europe commented:
"Despite a decreasing April TIV in Europe, we managed to sell 17% more than last year and thus increase our market share by 0.5 points in April. Our order trends continue to be strong particularly on Qashqai which allow us to start May with a strong order bank."
